It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas … at Tangalooma!

We may not have snow or dorky Christmas jumpers, but we wouldn't trade an Aussie Christmas for anything! Here's how you'll know that it's Christmas time at Tangalooma Island resort.

Always the crowd favourite, Christmas holidays in Queensland wouldn't be complete without Mangos! Sticky, sweet and a sure sign that it's Christmas in the land down under.

Everyone knows that distinctive (and delicious) smell of an Aussie BBQ and you can't go wrong with some juicy prawns, Moreton Bay bugs or the simple crowd favourite … SNAGS – all cooked on an Aussie grill!

He's making a list, and checking it twice! Christmas at Tangalooma would not be compete without the iconic tradition of Santa's Arrival! There won't be a reindeer in sight as Santa appears from the Tangalooma beach zooming in on a Quad bike with his helpers bringing special treats for all the children!

When the temperature's are hitting over 30 degrees, you'll need to Slip, Slop, Slap in the Aussie Summer heat. The smell of sunscreen is one sure fire way of knowing that Santa will be arriving soon.

Christmas in the southern hemisphere means humid, hot temperatures, and with that … melting ice creams! Better eat yours quickly or else you'll end up with sticky hands.

You can bet money on the fact that there is a beach towel (or two) under the Christmas tree for every family member this year! Put yours to good use and enjoy a family day out at one of Tangalooma's pristine beaches.

Who doesn't like a game of beach cricket with your friends and family over the Christmas break? Get out there and get sandy! Beach cricket is almost as iconic as leaving a can of beer out for Santa (it's way to hot for milk!).

Christmas pudding? Blegh. We love feasting on fresh Pavlovas at Tangalooma!

We think you'll agree that Christmas in Australia is pretty amazing!

From all of the team at Tangalooma Island Resort, Merry Christmas and happy and safe New Year!
