Explore Tangalooma with new adventures after dark

Summer holidays have officially kicked off at Tangalooma Island Resort with the launch of its first ever Glass Bottom Boat experience, allowing guests to explore Tangalooma's underwater life in a whole new light.

A unique new Moreton Island adventure after dark, the Glass Bottom Boat tour takes guests through a maze of sunken shipwrecks at dusk, while enabling them to see straight through the boat to experience the amazing spectacle of local marine life.

the Glass Bottom Boat tour will be able to explore the sea life as they come out to play after dark

Underwater LED lights activated on the boat offer a rarely seen view of Tangalooma's underwater life including a kaleidoscope of colourful fish, starfish, shovelnose rays, schools of squid, beautiful sand formulations, seagrass beds, and even dolphins.

Tangatours Managing Director Brad Ross said the resort is home to a rich diversity of marine life and with these night-time adventures, guests will be able to get closer than ever before.

"We want our guests to be able to enjoy, interact and see the amazing marine eco-system available right on our doorstep," said Mr Ross.

"Together with the Marine Education and Conservation Centre, the resort continues to work hard to protect some of the world's most beautiful creatures, including dolphins, whales, turtles, rays, birds and so much more.

"As one of the many activities we offer on the island, our guests on the Glass Bottom Boat tour will be able to explore the sea life as they come out to play after dark."

The Glass Bottom Boat forms part of a raft of new adventure and exploration based tours rolling out at the resort this summer, so be sure to stay tuned!

The Tangalooma Night-Time Glass Bottom Boat experience is currently available at $55 per adult and $35 per child with the duration of the tour estimated at one hour and 30 minutes.
