Airborne whales
Wow, what an incredible whale watch! The day was filled with curious and airborne Humpback whales. A pod of whales thrilled guests on the Tangalooma Jet, as they approached very close to the boat to get a better look, they were definitely feeling curious! After this onslaught of curiosity by these whales, another pod of whales amazed us with plenty of breaching action, as if they were trying to take off from the water. This was such an incredible sight to see as they lifted most of their 45 tonne bodies out of the water! In total, we saw 7 Humpback whales on today’s whale watch.
