Our sturdy whale watching boat takes the edge off wind & swell to find 18 whales

With some strong winds and swell at the north point of Moreton Island, it was great to be on board Australia's largest & studiest whale watching vessel, the Tangalooma Jet, to take the edge off what would otherwise have been a slightly bumpy ride to the whale watching grounds.

It was well worth the trip it with 18 whales spotted!

In a few cases, the Tangalooma Jet, was surrounded by more than three pods, with several breaches in the distance and then one up close near the end of the cruise.

A total of 18 whales and 3 Green sea turtles were spotted for the whale watching day cruise from Brisbane.
