Humpback Whales Deep Diving Under the sea

The Humpback whales were quite elusive on today's whale watch cruise, as they enjoyed holding their breath under the sea! Guests were very lucky to see 13 Humpbacks, traveling both north and south. The conditions were also perfect for today's cruise, with hardly any swell. Everywhere we looked, we could see whales rising their gigantic tails as they performed more deep dives. It would have been incredible to see them socialising under the surface!

In the last 5 minutes of watching the whales, we discovered a mother with her newborn calf. The calf was so tiny and may have only been a few hours old! Alongside the mother-calf pair was an escort whale.
