Whales on show everywhere

The Humpback whale count kept creeping up on today's whale watch cruise, and for today's whale watch we saw a total of 17 Humpback Whales, including 8 adult whales and 9 juveniles! The cruise began in waters north of Moreton Island, where we discovered a pod of 4 whales displaying courtship behaviours for access over a female. We then sighted two incoming pods, where two juveniles approached us to check us out. Everywhere we looked after these sightings, we saw more and more pods heading back south!

Recent updates have revealed that the famous white whale 'Migaloo' was last sighted in waters east of Mackay within Great Barrier Reef waters, a few days ago. He is believed to be heading south, so we are excited to potentially see him in the next few days! Fingers crossed he'll pass Moreton Island during daylight hours.
