Up to 100 breaches!!

Today broke the record for the most breaches we've seen in one whale watch cruise, with nearly 100 incredible breaches being performed by 7 Humpbacks! The cruise began with a very young juvenile swimming all alone on the north end of Moreton Island. This whale performed many deep dives. We then continued our journey towards Cape Moreton and into the Coral Sea waters.

Once we were east of Cape Moreton, we watched in awe at up to 7 Humpbacks continuously breaching! They all performed an epic show as they leapt their full bodies clear of the water. It seemed as if they were all performing a competition to see who performed the best breach. Guests were focused on all waters surrounding the Tangalooma Jet, as whales continued to breach within 100m away from us, over an hours duration! Two pods of Common dolphins soon delighted guests as they became curious and swam only a meter away from the Jet. It was incredible to see so much marine life surrounding us today!!

As we cruised back to Tangalooma, we also saw another 2 pods of inshore Bottlenose dolphins.
