Cape Moreton breaching!

The Humpback whale activity picked up today, along with the bumpy swells! We began the cruise with active whales breaching near Cape Moreton. While we watched these whales, heaps of other Humpback pods traveled past, with some juveniles surfacing only meters away from us!

Today, we saw more pods traveling north than south. It was great to see the last stragglers migrating north to the Whitsundays! The Humpback migration begins in April and ends in November, so in the coming months, we will mainly see pods heading south back to their home grounds of Antarctica.
