Summer began like no other with the Queensland launch of the ‘Endless Summer of Rewards” for John R. Turk’s 350 clients and suppliers on Saturday 29th October 2005. The event held in a beachfront marquee at Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort, Moreton Island, Queensland was a first for the resort with the entire infrastructure shipped over for the specially themed beach party by the event organiser SMPT Events on behalf John R. Turk. As has been the case in the past once again the major beneficiary of the evening was the Variety Club with all proceeds going to them in the support of the children charity in Queensland.

After cruising across Moreton Bay, John R. Turk guests were greeted at the jetty lining the entrance to the marquee with fire throwers, Polynesian dancers and musicians. Bamboo flares lit up the beachfront, where beach volleyball and limbo set the atmosphere for the interactive evening.

With umbrellas lining the ceiling and glittered palm trees dressing the tables, guests were treated to a delicious seafood buffet. Barbeque king prawns, grilled snapper fillets and MSA grade steak were just some of the menu options to tantalise the taste buds of John R Turk guests.

As the evening progressed, the guests were captivated as Mental as Anything kicked it off with “LIVE IT UP”. Jimmy Barnes was soon to follow playing favourites for over an hour accompanied by daughter Mahalia and son Jacky who also sang their latest tracks off the new album ‘Double Happiness’’. As the crowd enjoyed this up close and personal experience with Mental as Anything and Jimmy Barnes, dinner, drinks, dancing and a truly unique venue were a recipe for a memorable night.
