Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre

The Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre has been set up to provide an activity centre, combined with education and research facilities, to support the Dolphin Care and Feeding Program.

The Centre is the first contact for guests wishing to take part in the feeding session. Guests are required to register at the centre and at the same time are advised of the procedures governing feeding.

Information and completed research available include:

  • Photographs and a brief history of the dolphins, which frequent Tangalooma.
  • Posters of dolphins and descriptions of their characteristics
  • Posters and information on Whales, Dugongs, Marine and Wildlife
  • Brochures outlining the Dolphin Care and Feeding Program
  • Video presentations and talks on understanding of dolphin behaviour and needs, Whales, Marine Life, Wildlife and general natural history documentaries.
  • A library of books and publications on dolphins and whales from various authors including government and conservation agencies
  • And of course our Tangalooma Dolphin Education scientists and staff are happy to discuss or answer any questions our guests may have.

Eco Kids

The eco Kids programme has been designed by our Tangalooma Dolphin Education Centre scientists to promote and encourage children’s knowledge on dolphins, whales, environmental conservation and awareness.
