Birth Date: 20th September 2000.

Position in Pod: Tangles was the baby of the group, however with the new additions now takes on a brother/sister role.

History: Tangles was the first calf born to Tinkerbell and is therefore the third generation of dolphins to visit the feeding program.

ID Features:    Tangles is still a little smaller than the other dolphins and is therefore easier to identify. Tangles is light grey in colour and tends to receive a lot of rake marks over his/her body.

Personality/traits: We are still unsure about the sex of Tangles. The sex of a dolphin is determined by looking at the bottom of the dolphin. Looking at the gap between the genital slit and the anus. However, at such a young age it is extremely hard to distinguish the difference between the two sexes. Recently Tangles has been involved in many sexual activities and no male appendage has been observed. Tangles is also frequently surrounded by the males of the group during these times, and will attempt to keep his/her genitals out of the water.
