Celebrate your special day with Tangalooma

Your wedding is one of the most memorable days of your life. It is all about the joining of two souls and sharing the union of you and your partner with those you love and care for. It should be a magical time where you are both treated like royalty. While there are many factors to consider when organising the perfect wedding for you, one of the most important details is where to have the occasion. You want somewhere beautiful and romantic, somewhere fresh and accessible. One such area is Moreton Island.

Moreton Island is a picturesque isle off the coast of south east Queensland. With long, golden shores and sparkling aquamarine waters, the island is popular for honeymooners and wedding celebrants. The location offers spectacular weather almost all year round, as well as lots of great spots to host a wedding. With boats arriving regularly from Brisbane to the shore of the island, it is easy to get to, but still secluded enough that your wedding won’t be interrupted.

Tangalooma Island Resort, situated on the island, has accommodation and wedding specials for those looking to be wed on Moreton Island. Whether you want a beach wedding on the soft sands with dolphins frolicking in the ocean, or a more cosy affair in the mountains above surrounding by native flora and fauna, there is something to suit your personality and style as a couple.

The resort’s Mid-Year Wedding Special is perfect for those planning their nuptials anytime from April 15 to August 31 this year. The special puts you into the draw to win your first wedding anniversary weekend back at the resort, with return launch transfers, overnight accommodation, a buffet breakfast and champagne on arrival.

Mothers day at Tangalooma

Mothers Day has just been where I am sure your mum was shown all the love she deserves. Yet, it doesn’t have to be Mothers Day to tell and show her that you love her. Any time of the year is as good as any to show your mum how much she means to you. At any time of the year, a visit to Tangalooma Island Resort is the perfect way to treat your mum.

Tangalooma Island Resort offers their visitors up to 80 tours and activities to participate in, and 40 of these are free. One of Tangalooma’s most popular offers is the dolphin feeding cruise. When you book the dolphin feeding cruise it gives you up to 10 hours on the island to spend as you wish, access to full resort facilities, and of course a ticket to the popular dolphin feeding. This cruise costs up to $93 for adults and $70.50 for children (including the ferry to and from), making it an affordable day out.

Another not to miss activity on the island is the desert safari tour. On this tour you are taken in a 4WD through the island, and if you’re a bit of a thrill seeker there is the option of participating in the sand tobogganing, where you can reach up to 40km/h sliding down a sand hill.

Once you’ve seen all the island has to offer, why not treat your mum to a massage to unwind and relax at the Tangalooma Massage Hut and Beauty Room. Here she will be pampered from head to toe by one of our trained massage therapists.

Tangalooma Island Resort is a great way to show your mum how much she means to you and the family. Don’t wait till next Mothers Day to tell her you love her; treat her and the family to a trip to Tangalooma Island for a day to remember.
