The Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre (TMECC) provides a number of interactive and educational tours that introduce guests to Moreton Bay and its amazing inhabitants.
Dolphin Feeding Each evening at sunset, resort guests have the opportunity to view or feed the Tangalooma dolphins. From the moment they arrive, we are observe their curious and playful nature, hunting and interacting with one another in the waters surrounding the Tangalooma Jetty.

Dolphin Behaviour and Data Collection Presentation (Free activity) Join our biologists at 4:00pm to learn about the Tangalooma dolphins in an interactive Powerpoint presentation. Learn how the program began, how to identify individual dolphins and how to collect behavioural data. After the presentation has finished, join us on the jetty an hour before dolphin feeding and put your new knowledge to the test!
Pelican Feeding (Free activity) Join us on the jetty each morning for our daily pelican feed to learn more about the diverse birdlife we have on Moreton Island. Pelicans, the cheeky Pied Cormorants and even the occasional Whistling Kite visit the jetty for a quick breakfast bite.
Fish Feeding (Free activity) With over 750 specifes of fish calling Moreton Bay home, our outdoor aquarium (located just outside the education centre) showcases a small number of the species from the bay. Join one of our biologists at 9:30 each morning to learn a little bit more about our marine wildlife.
Kookaburra Feeding (Free activity) Every afternoon at 4:45pm you can hear the cheerful call of the kookaburra as they make their way down to feed. Ever wondered why they laugh? Join us and find out more about these interesting birds.
Marine Eco Cruise
(Additional costs apply) The southern banks of Moreton Island play host to some of our more rare and elusive marine animals, including four species of turtle and the graceful dugong. Join us on our 'Dugong Explorer' vessel as we go in search of these incredible creatures.
Whale Whatching Cruise (Additional costs apply) From June to October head on board the whale watch cruise to catch a glimpse of the majestic humpback whale. Watch in amazment as these gentle giants whale cruise past our northern shores on their annual migration from Antarctica.
Eco Tours The biologists at the Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre (TMECC) provide a number of free tours and activities to cater for people of all ages, including wildlife walks, indoor lectures and historical tours.
