Position in Pod: Tinkerbell's first calf and our first 'third generation' Tangalooma dolphin! At 9 years of age, Tangles will soon be a mature female, feeding alongside Shadow in Lane 3.
History: Tangles was the baby of the group for quite a few years before her younger brother and cousin arrived on the scene. When Storm was born, however, Tangles was pushed away by her mother Tinkerbell, in order for her new born calf to receive as much attention as possible. Since Storm was weaned, Tinkerbell and Tangles have a much closer relationship.
ID Features: With a beautifully curved dorsal fin just like her mum, Tangles looks a lot like a smaller version of Tinkerbell. On the trailing edge of her dorsal fin, however, she has three small notches, making her quite easy to distinguish from the other dolphins in the group.
Personality/traits:One of the most playful, sociable dolphins of the group, Tangles can frequently be seen cruising right into the shallow water, cheekily rubbing her belly on the sand or lifting her head and tail out of the water for all to see. .
