Birth Date: Mid 1990

Position in Pod: The eldest daughter of Beauty, Tinkerbell is now the most mature female of the group and mother to three gorgeous calves - Tangles, Storm and Phoenix.

History: Tinkerbell was only a two year old calf when her mother Beauty was first hand fed at Tangalooma. After Beauty passed away in 1995, Tinkerbell began to care for her younger, now orphaned sister Shadow. Before old Freddy died in 2007,Tink fed alongside him in Lane 2, but now has the whole lane to herself.

ID Features: Even though she is four years younger than her older brother Bobo, Tink is in fact the largest dolphin of the group at over 2 metres in length. Very sleek and light grey in colouration, Tinkerbell's dorsal fin is beautifully curved, just like a cresting wave.

Personality/traits: While Tinkerbell is the most dominant female of the pod, she remains a very friendly and gentle dolphin, frequently turning her head to look up at the people feeding her. Just like her baby sister Shadow, Tink has brought in several 'dolphin gifts' to the feeding program, including a 4 kg flathead and half of a large tuna. These were left as offerings at the feet of her feeders, and Tinkerbell would not accept them when they were offered back to her!
