Tangalooma Island Resort’s sponsored athlete, Harry Takis, has solidified Singapore as his 'happy hunting ground' in 2025, claiming his third major accolade in the city-state this year.

His latest and most impressive achievement came this past weekend. Competing as a top amateur at the professional Moutai Singapore Open (November 6-9), Harry finished as the leading amateur, securing the Top Amateur Trophy.

Against a world-class field that included seasoned professionals like Paul Casey and Talor Gooch, Harry’s performance was exceptional. He finished with a four-round total of 10-under par, placing him in a tie for 30th overall and proving he belongs on the world stage.

This latest achievement is not an isolated event. It is the stunning capstone on a 'Singapore hat-trick' for Harry in 2025:

This is precisely why Tangalooma Island Resort, as his major sponsor, is so committed to his journey. Competing on the world stage, from the Eisenhower Trophy to the Asian Tour, requires immense dedication, but it also requires significant financial support for travel, accommodation, and tournament fees.

Our Major sponsorship is designed to help relieve those pressures, allowing Harry to focus on what he does best: competing and winning. As our first individual sponsorship, Harry embodies our resort's deep commitment to supporting and nurturing exceptional local talent as they chase their dreams.

The entire Tangalooma team is incredibly proud to see our support help make these outstanding achievements possible. Congratulations, Harry, on a phenomenal year in Singapore. We are honoured to be part of your team and cannot wait to see what you do next.
