COVID-19 Proof of Vaccinations Required

In line with QLD Government restrictions, from 17 December 2021 access restrictions apply for guests & staff who ARE NOT fully  vaccinated. Guests will need to be fully vaccinated in order to access Tangalooma boat launches; enter Resort cafés, restaurants, conference facilities & bars; or participate in tourism experiences operated by the Resort. To comply with these restrictions all guests 16 years and over will be required to carry Government-issued proof of vaccination as per one of the below options:

  1. Check In Qld App - The preferred way for fully vaccinated guests to provide vaccination or exemption evidence is through the Check In Qld App linked with their verified digital vaccination certificate. 
  2. COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate through the Medicare app, from your Medicare-linked MyGov account, or My Health Record.
  3. Carry a printed copy of your official vaccination certificates, your immunisation history statement, or your international COVID-19 vaccination certificate. 
  4. Official Medical Exemption: A person who cannot be vaccinated must show an evidence of contraindication. This is an Australian Government-issued medical certificate stating that a person is exempt from getting a COVID-19 vaccination. This can be downloaded from the Australian Immunisation Register and can be linked to the Check In Qld App. No other evidence of exemption is permitted (e.g. Doctor's note).

If you cannot provide official proof of vaccination status (with matching Photo ID) when asked, you will NOT be allowed access, and you will not be eligible for refunds should you be unable to redeem any prebooked/prepaid products.

How to Add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Check In Qld app

You can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Check In Qld app. The updated version of the app allows you to check in and display your vaccination status at the same time.

You will need to:

  • have had all required doses of an approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine before you can add a digital certificate to the app
  • make sure that you have the latest version of the app on your device.
