Whale Watching Discovery Program

Join our popular Whale Watch Discovery Program and follow our educational program specifically designed (but suitable for all year levels) around the curriculum objectives of upper primary school based on Ready Set Grow, Survival of the Australian Environment and Life on Earth. Students will be immersed in a day full of fun and informative facts about how Tangalooma has come full circle since being the largest land-based whaling station in the southern hemisphere for 10 years between 1952 - 1962 to now operating daily whale watching cruises every year between June - October.

Inclusions

  • Whale Watch Cruise, including commentary on board by a Tangalooma Eco Ranger
  • Desert Safari Tour with sand tobogganing experience

Whale Watching Cruise

Only Tangalooma Island Resort offers you Brisbane's closest whale watching cruise, plus the opportunity to enjoy island life for the day, and night if you stay over. Our vessel is a smooth sailing, comfortable catamaran. And our island is alive with fun things to do, from land and water sports to just lazing around on the beach.

Students will gain a new understanding of the annual Humpback Whale migrations past Moreton Island.
