Jetstar's Epic Tangalooma Adventure!
What do you get when you drop a bunch of kiwi influencers on the pristine shores of Tangalooma Island Resort?... An unforgettable day of adventure and smiles from ear to ear!
Last month, Tangalooma had the pleasure of hosting some talented content creators from our favourite next-door neighbour, New Zealand. The day trip marks the launch of Jetstar’s brand-spanking-new Auckland to Brisbane direct flight and celebrates Brisbane as an epic travel destination.
Perfect blue skies welcomed the creators as they officially stepped onto Tangalooma’s shores for the first time. TikTok star, Lilia Alexander noted “wait… isn’t this where they shot Scooby Doo??” then quickly proceeded to confess she has never seen the legendary childhood blockbuster. Lilia, if you are reading this, you’re missing out!
The day started off with a bang on our iconic Desert Safari Tour, which saw our influencers trek into (in our humble opinion) Australia’s most picturesque desert for some adrenaline pumping Sand Tobogganing. We won’t lie… these guys had some impressive form and got up to some massive speeds as they pelted down the towering sand slopes. Who knew you could experience the thrill of a rollercoaster ride without the tracks!?
The fun didn’t stop there though. The group decided to divide and conquer to ensure they would get the most out of their short time at Tangalooma. Group A took the scenic route and embarked on the famous Wrecks Snorkelling Tour. They don’t call Tangalooma “place where the fish meet” for nothing! Youtubers, Dane and Stacey, were mesmerised by the colourful marine creatures and were elated about their various sea turtle sightings.
While Group A was out exploring Moreton Bay below the surface our adrenaline seekers from Group B kept the action going as they conquered the sand bowls on the quad bikes. We all know our friends from across the ditch are major thrill-seekers, so it was no surprise that they were eager to put the pedal to the metal.
And, of course, what is a day at Tangalooma without an afternoon of sunset cocktails and wild dolphin feeding? Sitting up at the Wheelhouse Deck, the group admired the incredible red and orange sunset as it dropped behind the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance. Pure. Magic.
We were blown away by the creativity and infectious enthusiasm of our Kiwi guests. They didn’t miss a single moment, sharing their experiences with their followers who were undoubtably left with a serious case of wanderlust!
