Tangalooma x White cloud foundation

Boardies & Bubbles for a cause!

In March 2022, Tangalooma hosted & sponsored White Cloud Foundation's annual Boardies & Bubbles Lunch, which saw over 110 attendees travel  across the Bay to enjoy a day out in the sun.

White Cloud Foundation is a Queensland-based not-for-profit organisation founded in 2011, providing practical support, easy access to treatment, and early intervention programs for people living with or at risk of developing depression and anxiety in its many forms.

White Cloud Foundation's team of specialists work to develop individualised treatment plans that address a client's symptoms, reduce risk factors, build resilience and arm them with strategies to better manage their mental and emotional health.

The annual Boardies & Bubbles Lunch raises much needed funds to allow the foundation's Tele-Mental Health Services to continue to support those struggling with depression and anxiety. The day was filled with sun, seafood, friends, plenty of laughs, a bit of tug-of-war on the sand, and some questionable boardies choices - the perfect combination!

Based in Tangalooma's Waterfront Pavilion, guests enjoyed a signature Tangalooma market stall feast. Highlights of the day included an update from White Cloud founder Professor Adam Scott, who was on-hand to receive a further $15,000 donation from Tangalooma Island Resort to kickstart an entertaining afternoon of fundraising. A spirited live auction & raffle ensued, underpinned by brilliant compering by Triple M radio host Greg 'Marto' Martin.

It was another successful day out at Tangalooma, with a day on island time just what the doctor ordered to boost mental health! Tangalooma is also proud to have partnered with White Cloud Foundation to offer staff and their families a Tele-Mental Health Service.

Only a 75 minute scenic cruise from Brisbane, hosting a corporate event at Tangalooma is an easy way to get out of the office and in to the sunshine. Whether you're seeking an adventure, educational, or nature-based experience in a relaxed environment, an event at Tangalooma ensures you give your guests the most unique experience available - with a tropical island setting!
