If you are travelling on one of our Passenger ferries please be aware of the following:
Departing Brisbane and Parking at Holt St Wharf Pinkenba
If you are travelling to Tangalooma via our passenger ferries, please make sure you arrive at our wharf located at 220 Holt Street Pinkenba 60 minutes prior to departure time to ensure you can check-in for the boat and provide our baggage handlers with your luggage.
How to Board
Once you arrive at Holt St Wharf head directly to the ticket hut to check your luggage in. Our ticket hut staff will also provide you with all your booking information and your transfer tickets to board the boats.
You can then place your room tag on your luggage and then place in the luggage bins as directed by staff.
When it is time to board simply head over to the boats with your tickets, and take a seat on the boat and relax as you enjoy your cruise from Brisbane to Tangalooma Island Resort!
Please note that all beach/garden trolleys (such as spinifex) and prams must be collapsed before boarding the ferry boats.
Parking your Vehicle at Holt St Wharf
Parking at our lock-up facility is available at $20 per day or $80 per week. For directions on getting to Holt Street Wharf please refer to directions here. When arriving at Holt St Wharf simply park in the temporary loading spots and then visit the Ticket Hut to purchase your parking token. You will then be able to park your car in the lock-up facility.
Luggage Restrictions
Limit of 1 piece of check-in luggage (max 20kg) plus 1 carry-on luggage per person. Limit of 1 esky or food-storage container at 20kg per accommodation is inclusive in the price to travel to the Resort. Launch fare includes luggage porterage directly to and from most rooms. Dangerous Goods are not permitted onboard Tangalooma Ferries or Vessels.
These items include but not limited to:
- Flammables/Fuels
- Explosives
- Combustibles
- Spears/Spearfishing
- Corrosives
- Toxic Liquids
- Weapons/Firearms
- Sharp Objects
If you are in any doubt about whether your item may be hazardous, you should bring it to the attention of the launch crew or Tangalooma ferries management.
Please Remember:
- No Alcohol permitted onboard
- No Smoking onboard
- No Illegal substances permitted onboard
On Arrival at Tangalooma
When you arrive at the Tangalooma jetty via the ferry just head over to Reception to check-in and start your holiday!
Alternative Transport Arrangements - Vehicle Barge
If you are arriving on the Moreton Island (MiCat) vehicle barge please head straight to Reception upon arrival at Tangalooma. Please note that the MiCat disembarks walk-on passengers at the Northern end of the Tangalooma Wrecks which is close to a 30-minute walk from our Reception. The walk is on unsealed tracks and is really only suitable to those who are prepared for the elements, have a reasonable level of fitness and appropriate luggage for the trek.

We do not provide transfers services for guests arriving on the MiCat vehicle, and the availability of luggage trolleys at the Resort entrances cannot be guaranteed.
The Moreton Island Taxi service can run services from the MiCat to Tangalooma Island Resort; please note that this must be pre-booked and is subject to a fee. They can be contacted using the details below:

Parking your Vehicle
If you are arriving with a 4WD, the Resort is vehicle-free however we provide free parking at both the Northern & Southern ends of the Resort.
Please note that the North Car Park is about a 1km walk, which can take close to 30mins to walk to the resort centre.
Alternative Arrangements - Private Boat
If you are arriving by private boat and have pre-arranged a mooring, please visit Tangalooma Watersports upon arrival at the Resort to organise payment. After this you may head straight to Reception to arrange your accommodation check-in. If you haven't yet booked a mooring contact Tangalooma Watersports on (07) 3410 6927.
