By Tangalooma Island Resort
To get the country excited about NRL Magic Round, sporting legends, Sam Thaiday and Herbie Farnworth visited Tangalooma, for an action-packed day of fun and adventure. Their hijinks began before they had even reached the resort, with Sam hijacking the ferry with an impromptu karaoke performance, showcasing his hilarious rapping abilities to some lucky guests onboard.
Upon arriving at the resort, the sporting stars swapped their jerseys for wetsuits and headed out on a snorkel boat to the iconic Tangalooma Wrecks, where they explored the vibrant marine life beneath the waves.
The adventure continued with a trip to the Tangalooma desert for some adrenaline-filled sand tobogganing, racing headfirst down the dunes before wrapping up the day with a competitive game of beach volleyball. Sam and Herbie got into their best budgie smugglers and absolutely dominated the court, bringing plenty of laughs and competitive spirit to the match. And it wouldn’t be a trip to Tangalooma without feeding the dolphins, which is exactly what Sam Thaiday did when he hand fed Dolphins player Herbie Farnworth some fresh oysters!
