3 Juvenile Whales Spotted near the Tangalooma Wrecks

The whale spotting started straight away with 3 juvenile Humpback whales spotted just 600m west of the Tangalooma Wrecks, in Moreton Bay. The Tangalooma Wrecks are 15 ships that were purposely wrecked from 1963 to 1984 to create a safe anchor wall and are now a safe haven for over 200 fish species, stingrays and turtles.

Once we had left the bay we spotted another 12 whales with the highlight being two juvenile whales at the end coming right up to the side of Australia's largest dedicated whale watching vessel, the Tangalooma Jet, and rolling their bodies to show all guests on board their white belly!
