From Tackles to Tangalooma: Broncos Hit the Beach

Tangalooma Island Resort is thrilled to announce our exciting new role as an Official Preseason Connection Partner of the Brisbane Broncos, as well as an ongoing Support Partner for 2025!

This partnership kicked off in style, with the Brisbane Broncos swapping the rugby field for the serene sands and crystal-clear waters of Tangalooma Island Resort this past weekend, for their Preseason Connection Day Trip. The connection day trip brought together more than 140 guests, including players, coaches, and their families, for a blend of excitement, relaxation, and camaraderie.

The Broncos used the preseason connection day as a chance to recuperate and reenergise with a new coach leading the charge into the 2025 season. The action-packed day began with the boys adventuring along the beach and through the bush into the heart of the Tangalooma Desert for a fun filled session of sand tobogganing and a quick swim to cool off back down at the beach! While some of the team were gliding down the dunes, others were diving into their own adventures, from the thrill of ATV quad biking to snorkelling the underwater wonders of the Tangalooma Wrecks or jumping onboard the Scenic Wrecks Sightseeing and Fish Feeding Tour, offering breathtaking views and unforgettable encounters with marine life.

After a quick refuel for all, as well as a surprise visit from Santa who swapped his reindeer for a helicopter and dune buggy, the fun continued after lunch - there was no shortage of excitement.

Surrounded by the island’s natural beauty, it was a day filled with bonding and fun—an ideal preseason day out for the Broncos and their loved ones to recharge and strengthen their team spirit before the season kicks off.
