In February, English actor, comedian, writer, children’s book author and television personality David Walliams made a memorable visit to Tangalooma on Moreton Island. Known for his iconic work on Little Britain, Britain’s Got Talent, and as a prolific children’s book author, David is in Brisbane filming a movie adaptation of his best-selling children’s book ‘FING!’.
David arrived in true style with a helicopter transfer to the island, setting the tone for an exciting day ahead. His visit included a series of thrilling activities that showcased the best of what Tangalooma has to offer, from its stunning natural beauty to unforgettable wildlife experiences.

One of the highlights of David’s trip was snorkelling at the famous Tangalooma Wrecks, a unique site, home to a diverse array of marine life. He also took part in a 4x4 bus tour of Moreton Island, which allowed him to experience the island’s picturesque landscapes, making for an adventure packed with breathtaking views and local history.
David wrapped up his visit with the iconic Tangalooma wild dolphin feeding experience. Known for its sustainability credentials and recognised at the World’s leading dolphin provisioning program, this experience left David beaming as he shared with his followers on social media that he had “the best day ever” at Tangalooma. We were thrilled to host such a legendary figure and are happy to hear that David thoroughly enjoyed his time. It was truly a day to remember for both him and the Tangalooma team!
