Built on lived experiences, Voice for Victims exists to support victims of crime navigate a path forward following traumatic incidents or offences. As a foundation their objective is to provide direct, practical and emotional support to those in the community affected by crime.
Founder Ben Cannon recognised a lack of meaningful support and representation for those affected by crime when he found himself a victim of a serious home invasion in 2021. Overtime, what began as a community-led response has since evolved into a registered charity helping people all over Queensland.
Joining us at Tangalooma Island Resort for the launch, 4BC Radio did a live breakfast broadcast with cohosts Dean Miller & Sofie Formica. Sofie is also a proud ambassador of VFV and attended the event as MC. We also had the pleasure of hosting 9News Queensland who filmed the official launch and interviewed attendees for the Today Show and evening News bulletins. The day was an incredible success, and we are proud to support such an important foundation. If you, or someone you know has been affected by crime, Voice for Victims is there to support you.
