Exotic Red sand formations at the north-eastern tip of moreton island
Situated at the base of Cape Moreton on the eastern side of Moreton island, lies Harper's Rock, a strange cluster of red sand formations.
With sharp edges, bright orange and red colours, many visitors often say that visiting Harper's Rock reminds them of the Star Wars movies, while others say it looks like scenes out of the Looney Tunes' Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner series.
Combing fantastic views of the eastern beach, along with bright red surroundings, Harper's Rock is a great spot to visit, and is very popular amongst rock fisherman with Bream and Dart often caught in the area.
Where is Harper's Rock?
Harper's Rock is located on the eastern side of Moreton Island, just near where the long stretch of beach begins at the north.
