67 Whale Sightings in 2 days!

An incredible Wednesday out on the Tangalooma Whale Watch with 4 whale sightings before we even left the Jetty! We then had 6 whales in the first ten minutes!

We were spoiled for choice and could afford to be picky finding mostly mother and calf pairs resting in the bay. There were some explosive splashes on the horizon and when we got closer we could see two separate pods!

The guests on the boat were in awe as the whales joined together and we were stuck in the middle as the two pods converged. We had tail slaps, breaches, spy hops and even double pectoral slaps from the calves!

On the return journey we stopped to enjoy another 2 pods of whales only about 30 meters off the beach at Cowan Cowan, they tail slapped and pectoral slapped up a storm and we couldn't help but slow down for another look.

Personally, today was my biggest day whale watching EVER, with 33 Whales sighted in total today!! (and 34 whale sightings yesterday by Eco Ranger Jess!!). This season has been nothing short of sensational! Just 3 days left to go now and limited spots available book in before you miss out.
