The expectations were very high this morning in the build up to the whale watch, with a whale already being sighted about 200 meters off the beach!

Today we saw a total of 16 Whales and we didn't even have to pass Combuyuro point today and could see whale's pectoral slapping before we dropped the boat's lines from the jetty!

An incredible Wednesday out on the Tangalooma Whale Watch with 4 whale sightings before we even left the Jetty! We then had 6 whales in the first ten minutes!

We found a mother with a very tiny calf that were taking a break in the bay while the mother fed her calf. After they headed back out of the bay to head back on their migration path

Today we were lucky enough to see 4 mother and calf pairs. We had many breaches from mostly the calves and one mother that joined her calf as he showed off for us.

The whales seemed to wake up from a nap and began to pectoral slap to the other pod before collaborating together.

We stayed with this whale pod time the entire time and they even had a synchronized breath with 8 whales surfacing at once.

Whale watching has reached its boiling point! The last of the Humpback whale migration is made up of newborn calves and young mothers that was definitely the case with eight mothers and eight calves!

We were spoiled for choice having close encounters with 19 whales and many more out in the distance. For anyone who hasn't been whale watching before you couldn't have a better time to give it a go.

Wow, was the word of the day! We couldn't even finish the safety briefing before we ran into our first pod of whales waiting on the sandbar in about 8 meters!

Today we spotted 9 beautiful humpback whales however, the juvenile and two adults that we spotted towards the end of our cruise, certainly stole the show.

We had a fantastic time having outstanding weather and close encounters with 9 humpback whales, we were pleasantly surprised when we sighted our first whales in less than 5 minutes into the tour.

We noticed two dark shadows under the surface, only meters from the beach. We were so delighted to see two juveniles resting in 3 meter deep waters!

While we watched the whales, 3 very curious bottlenose dolphins surfaced next to the whales and Tangalooma Jet. It was incredible to see both whales and dolphins out in Moreton Bay Marine Park today!

It was another day where the Humpback whales played hide and seek with us, as the main behaviour observed today were deep dives by the 5 sighted juvenile Humpbacks.
