Moreton Bay again providing Crystal Clear Waters for Whale Watching

On today’s whale watch, we got the excellent opportunity to watch the whales swimming below the water. We were able to see them everywhere they went, as they swam gracefully through the crystal clear waters of Moreton Bay. The whales were rolling around in the water right beside the boat, giving their audience an excellent view of their white underbelly.

Humpback whales are white underneath and black on top, this provides camouflage for the whale as the light bottom blends with the surface from below and the dark top blends into the dark ocean bottom from above.

Today we saw a total of 7 Humpback's including 4 adults and 3 juveniles.
