Breaching off the bow of the boat - whales showing off on Brisbane coast!

With some strong easterly winds, the Tangalooma Jet kept to the north western side of Cape Moreton, spending the day with two pods that displayed some great surface displays. The first pod was two adults, a juvenile and a calf that were staying close together with the juvenile doing small breaches!

Then the second pod of two adults and two juveniles were more active with one of the juveniles regularly laying on its back slapping its pectoral flippers on the water! But the highlight for the whale watching cruise was two juveniles breaching right off the bow! A total of 8 whales were spotted for the day.

Breaching off the bow! Our Brisbane whale watchers on board loved every minute of it.
