Introducing Marc Collins

“I first came to Tangalooma in early 1990 at less than 6 months of age, and have been coming back every year since! Going to Tangalooma is one of my favourite times of the year, catching up with all of my friends who work there, and meeting new people and wildlife. Since visiting Tangalooma growing up, I’ve seen a lot. I still remember seeing Beauty (the original dolphin to start feeding) for the first time and was even lucky enough to hand feed her before she sadly passed away. In 2009, it became ritual for our family to visit Tangalooma not once, but TWICE a year. I quickly took a keen interest in photographing the incredible island and its local marine and wildlife in particular. As my gear expanded, so did my photos! My record still stands at 5,062 photos in a week, and I’m continually trying to beat it. Here are my top 5 moments from Tangalooma through the eye of my camera lens...”

- I love this photo of Harry Jr as it shows just how tame the wildlife of Tangalooma is.  I loved the fact that he would just stand there posing as I took the photos

- This photo is by far one my favorites! This is a Northern Hemisphere Humpback Whale, which is very rare to see in southern waters.

- By far one of my best sunsets at Tangalooma, this perfectly captures Tangalooma's beauty. The clouds perfectly blend the colours together.  Little photo tip the best sunsets are when there is a little bit of cloud cover.

- This Photo makes you think you are entering paradise.  Leaving the rooms & you walk a few steps & take that step into Paradise.

- Honeymoon Bay, the name perfectly suits this beautiful location.  Not long ago this beautiful beach was damaged by wild weather, but has bounced back to it's former glory.
