A Sense of Adventure
Tangalooma is a 3.5 star Resort that epitomises the good old-fashioned values of an Aussie beach holiday. Our beautiful & picturesque location, our amazing wildlife encounters, coupled with our unique tours and adventures is what makes Tangalooma so special. We encourage you to get out of your room, have a laugh and create lifelong memories in one of Australia's greatest outdoor playgrounds.
A day bag for early arrival and late departures
If you plan to arrive early to the Resort prior to your check-in time we encourage you to bring a day-pack with a change of clothes so you can make full (complimentary) use of the Resort facilities. The same applies if you are planning to leave the Resort on a late boat on departure as check-out is strictly 10am.
Beachwear (and swimming gear)
Our pools are great and we have arguably the best beach in Australia; so be sure to bring your sunnies, swimmers, sunscreen and snorkel to take advantage of our amazing waters and marine wildlife. You can even hire beach gear and watercraft from Tangalooma Watersports when you are here. Beach towels are free to guests from Reception (with a refundable deposit).
Your Camera & Smile
You will want to capture every moment including our amazing sunsets and beautiful island vistas. Be sure to upload your photos to Social Media with the hashtag #tangalooma and we may even share your photo with all our fans. So remember your charger!
Relaxed Resortwear Clothing (remember your thongs!)
Just in case there is any confusion - The Macquarie dictionary describes thongs as "Rubber summer shoes that have rubber between the toes (to hold them onto your feet)". The dress code at Tangalooma is relaxed Resortwear. After 6pm guests are requested to wear footwear and refrain from wearing singlets. If you plan on joining one of our famous quad-bike tours whilst at Tangalooma, make sure you pack some enclosed footwear.
Sun Safety
Being SunSmart is a simple and effective way to reduce your risk of developing skin cancer. Remember to Slip, Slop and Slap!
-
Slip on some sun-protective clothing that covers as much skin as possible
-
Slop on broad spectrum, water resistant SPF30+ (or higher) sunscreen. Put it on 20 minutes before you go outdoors and every two hours afterwards. Sunscreen should never be used to extend the time you spend in the sun
-
Slap on a hat - broad brim or legionnaire style to protect your face, head, neck and ears
-
Seek shade
-
Slide on some sunglasses - just make sure they meet Australian Standards
