Thinking about saying “I do” at Tangalooma Island Resort? We’ve compiled answers to our most frequently asked questions to help you explore why our breathtaking location is the ideal choice for your dream wedding.
To ensure every wedding reflects the beauty and charm of our unique location, all our styling is carried out by our trusted wedding stylist partner Miss Weddings. We don’t allow DIY styling for the weddings. On the flip side, that’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about! Miss Weddings specialises in styling at Tangalooma, and they’ll work closely with you to bring your vision to life, making your day as magical as you’ve imagined.
Yes! Please see our current brochure for a list of our preferred vendors, who we work with closely to provide top-quality results. While we highly recommend these vendors, you’re more than welcome to choose the ones that best match your style and vision.
From our experience, the best times to visit are May/ June and August through October. These months offer gorgeous sunshine, clear blue skies, and daytime temperatures around the mid-20s°C, with cooler evenings perfect for celebrating late into the night.
As we have a minimum spend requirement, we aren’t able to accommodate elopements or micro weddings. Our packages are designed with wedding parties of 40 guests or more in mind.
Confetti adds such a magical touch to your photos and videos, and we absolutely encourage it! We just ask that any confetti brought onto the island is biodegradable to help protect the environment and wildlife.
Absolutely! We always provide a wet weather backup plan to alleviate any stress regarding uncontrollable factors. Leading up to your big day, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast and work with you to make a final call 24 hours before.
We highly recommend booking a Day Cruise Package for a site inspection. You can secure your spot through this link: Tangalooma Day Cruise. Once you’ve booked, please share your reference number with our wedding coordinator so we can ensure you are warmly hosted by our guest service superstars on the day. We’ll deduct the cost of your day cruise from your wedding invoice once you book.
Both our Wheelhouse and Waterfront Pavilion venues are equipped with speakers and aux connectivity, perfect for background music. Please note, these speakers aren’t designed for dance music or a full party vibe, so you may want to bring in additional equipment for those needs.
Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed due to Moreton Island being 95% national park. However, service animals are welcome, just let us know ahead of time. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our wedding coordinator for details.
Set up time varies, depending on your schedule and requirements. Please ensure that all vendors work closely with our wedding coordinator who will provide a detailed run sheet for your special day, so everything runs smoothly.
We kindly ask that all guests vacate the venue by midnight.
