Chargin whales on a rainy day

The rainy weather certainly didn't dampen today's whale watch cruise, with 24 Humpback whale sightings. It seemed as if the cloudy skies were raining with whales as the whales were sighted across all waters over the horizon!

Guest saw an incredible sight on the whale watch cruise, with a large pod of 5 adults suddenly charging and picking up their pace! They were most likely males, and were charging for access over a female. We got to see some impressive head lunges as they raced throughout the water.

Other marine species also surprised us today, with a large pod (approximately 20) of inshore bottlenose dolphins and a green sea turtle making an appearance from the deep waters of Moreton Bay Marine Park.
