17 Humpback Whales sighted around Moreton Island

Today's whale watch was full of action! Guests on board the Tangalooma Jet were lucky to see 17 Humpback whales, the most we've seen so far this season of whale watching. One of the greatest moments of today's whale watch cruise was the double breaching! It was incredible to see these mammals so beautifully synchronized as they leapt their 45 ton bodies out of the water! These whales also put on a thrilling show for us, with many pec slaps accompanying their breaching activity.

Throughout the cruise, the guest excitement levels were through the roof as we continued to see more and more Humpback whale pods out on the horizon! We also saw a pod of Bottlenose dolphins swimming gracefully next to Cape Moreton.

We've had a spectacular weekend whale watching, and cannot wait for what the working week has to bring!
