The Whales watched us as we watched them!

The Humpbacks were extremely curious on today's whale watch cruise, with 9 surfacing and checking us out from only meters away!

The day started off with a curious juvenile, found north of Moreton Island. It was resting on the surface and was so calm in our presence. We then continued into the open ocean waters. We soon discovered active Humpback whale pods, as multiple whales breached and pec slapped! One of these adults shocked us, as its 45 ton body leapt from the water, just 50m from us.

At the end of the whale watch we observed two juveniles. Together, they delighted us with plenty of pec slaps and spy hops!
