Looking forward to the week ahead

Guests on today's whale watch cruise got to witness a breaching contest between multiple Humpback whales! The whales were performing endless breaches across waters surrounding the Tangalooma Jet. It looked like they were competing with each other to see who could leap the highest out of the water!

We also broke the 2017 record for the most whales seen on a whale watch, with 23 Humpback whale sightings today! Year after year, we are sighting more Humpback whales. This is due to their numbers increasing by approximately 10% annually, so we are expecting up to 28,000 to migrate past the east coast of Australia this year!

A curious Hammerhead shark and inshore Bottlenose dolphins also surprised us near Cape Moreton.

We're looking forward to the upcoming working week of whale watches!
