Conference - October, 2022
In October 2022, Tangalooma hosted the Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB), for their 30th Convention. Held over four days, the conference brought 320 people to the resort to partake in a variety of conferencing sessions, team-building activities, formal & informal dinners.

CQIB were looking to do something different for the 30th year and wanted to offer their attendees a relaxed environment which perfectly combined business with leisure.
Due to the size of the convention & numbers involved, the Tangalooma Events team worked closely with CQIB’s event organiser to determine requirements and ensure they were met. A temporary marquee had to be built to accommodate all 320pax, as this was larger than any existing conferencing & event venue at the resort.

CQIB wanted a variety during each of the four conferencing days, allowing attendees the option between conferencing sessions, signature Tangalooma activities and team-building tasks. With this brief, the events team were able to plan an itinerary that encompassed the perfect balance of requirements. This, combined with the nightly dinners that were themed and ranged from cocktail style set-ups to sit-down formal dinners, gave all attendees the chance to network within a selection of different environments.
